Compilation

Sorry guys, I haven't been posting much (or replying to any of my notes on tumblr, I'm so bad ;_; ). I haven't been drawing much if that's an consolation? I have some old school work though.

It's all I ever have.

The last painting of the year; we had to do a still life containing only one general colour (red, blue, etc.) but still use a full range of colours on our palette. Roughly 8 hours, acrylics.

The last figure drawing painting of the year, 9 hour pose, acrylics.

 In un-art related news, I went to Edgefest in downsview park on Saturday with a good friend of mine. It was AWESOME. The Pack A.D and the Silversun Pickups were my favs from the main lineup.

I even moshed! And got into a car accident! (no one was hurt)

 It was crazy!!!

Painting 2

Some paintings from both last semester and this semester. Honestly my still lives are so much better than my figure painting 9_9

6 hour acrylic setup done last semester. Man coming back for the second 3 hour session and setting up all over again was frustrating.

My big painting assignment from semester 1, an ever-so-cool deer antler done in acrylics.

And the setup. Deer antlers are sweeeeet (thanks mom!)

Now to get some skulls aw right

And second semester watercolour still lives:

I painted one glorious teapot, I'm not even going to hide it.

And sketchbook #2 is all bound and ready to go! Never try a new bookbinding technique at 1 in the morning expecting it to be done in an hour, things just don't end up like that >:I

It's pretty amazing looking back at the beginning of semester one and realizing how much I've improved since then. I can actually draw an apple sitting on a table and it looks like it's sitting...

...on a table.

Painting 1

You know you're desperate when the only thing you can upload are still lives :'(

I'm sorry I don't draw anymore ;n;

Paintings start from week 3 to the end of midterm. It's pretty cool how we have to train ourselves on how we perceive colour, like where tones are warmer and cooler. And even when you can't use pre-mixed blacks or browns the class is pretty fun. 

Plus my prof is super nice and extremely helpful which makes me want to work harder :'D
